Growing up in Boulder Colorado, Jon was immersed in gymnastics and diving classes from the age of 7. Jon was a competitive gymnast in USAG from the age of 15 to 19 years old.
Jon’s first professional gig was in a two-person trampoline act as a clown and trampoline stunt performer. Jon then moved on to work with Spiderman Live, a touring Broadway Equity production as the understudy to Peter Parker/Spiderman. From there, Jon was picked up as an original cast member with Dragone Productions by Franco Dragone for the creation of the new show Le Reve, which was housed at the Wynn Las Vegas resort. Jon was the original cage solo aerial artist as well as a flyer, a clown and generalist where he spent 14 years as a professional performing artist.
“I am now coaching with San Diego Circus Center and giving back so much of my professional knowledge. Helping people understand the technique and processes of circus growth I’ve learned over the years is a tremendous honor to pass on.”, says Jon.
